What it teaches
Nothing.
What an agent has to do to get it
Advertising spend. That is the whole requirement.
What it actually tells you
When you see an agent's face next to a home on a big national site, you are usually looking at a paid ad slot, not a ranking. The agent bought that ZIP code. That is not a crime. It is just not a credential.
Ask this instead
Is that a paid placement?
Where I stand on it
I do not hold these letters. I studied the material behind a lot of them, because the subjects are real and a seller pays for what I do not know. I never bought the initials. If a credential is ever shown to get sellers more money, I will earn it that day and put it on this page myself.
